Boston Scientific - Spinal Cord Stimulation Patients

For Boston Scientific, I traveled to four different cities to photograph people living with chronic pain and the families who were part of their lives.

We spent time in their homes, photographing them in the middle of everyday life. I remember how welcoming everyone was, opening their doors to us and sharing their stories. What could have easily felt like a day of work often became something much more personal. We talked, shared meals, laughed, and got to know one another.

The photographs were used in Boston Scientific's patient education materials for its spinal cord stimulation therapy. But what has stayed with me most isn't the finished campaign. It's the people I met along the way.

Even after the project wrapped, some of them sent me thank-you notes. I'm still connected with many of them on Instagram, and I love getting little glimpses into their lives all these years later.

It's funny how a few days spent with someone can leave such a lasting impression. These short but meaningful connections are a big part of what I love about photography. The camera gives us a reason to meet, but it's the people and the moments we share that make the experience so rewarding.
